Follow these recommendations to get the best performance, safety and reliability from your Voltrium ION Max Dual Motor electric scooter.

Important Owner Information

  1. Do not jump your scooter

Keep both wheels on the ground at all times. Jumping or performing stunts may cause serious damage that is not covered under warranty.

  2. Know the road rules

Electric scooter laws vary between Australian states and territories. Make sure you understand the rules that apply wherever you ride.

View Victorian electric scooter road laws, with Links to legislation in other Australian States

  3. Maintain 50 psi tyre pressure

A tyre pressure of 50 psi is recommended for the Voltrium ION Max’s tubed tyres.

Check the tyre pressure regularly—ideally before every ride—and use a pump with an accurate pressure gauge. Maintaining the correct pressure helps improve:

    • Ride comfort
    • Grip and handling
    • Puncture resistance
    • Tyre durability
    • Battery range and efficiency
  4. Ride safely

Always wear an approved helmet. For longer or higher-speed rides, we recommend a full-face helmet and protective gloves.

    You should also consider:

    • Bright or reflective clothing
    • A red flashing light attached to your helmet or backpack
    • A protective motorcycle jacket
    • Kevlar or reinforced riding jeans
    • Knee and elbow protection
    • An additional front light mounted high on the handlebars when riding at night

See and be seen. Dress for the slide, not the ride.

Always ride safely, responsibly and respectfully around pedestrians, cyclists and other road or shared-path users.

  5. Follow EcoMotion

Performance Modes

  • Walk Mode: Provides slow, controlled movement at approximately 5 km/h.
  • ECO Mode: Limits the speed to approximately 10 km/h to help extend riding range.
  • Drive Mode (D): Provides normal acceleration with a top speed of approximately 20 km/h.
  • Sport Mode: Provides maximum acceleration and performance, with speeds of up to 60 km/h under suitable conditions.

Maximum speed and range may vary depending on rider weight, tyre pressure, battery charge, terrain, temperature and other riding conditions. Higher-speed modes should only be used where permitted by law and in a safe, controlled environment.
