Queensland government offering rebates for e-scooter and e-bicycle purchases
The Queensland government is offering rebates for e-scooter and e-bicycle purchases as part of a new $1 million scheme to make e-mobility devices more affordable by reducing upfront costs for Queenslanders.
Queenslanders are able to access a rebate of $500 for eligible e-bicycles and $200 for eligible e-scooters.
The rebate program begins on Monday 23 September 2024, ahead of next month's state election.
The government has committed $1 million towards the scheme, which will assist with the purchase of thousands of devices — although funding is expected to be quickly exhausted. Rebate funding is not guaranteed. Completed applications will be assessed in order of receipt.
